Standard formats: transcoding and multibitrate

We basically transcode all formats in live operation and do not simply “loop” through even the highest quality. In this way we guarantee the best possible synchronicity and enable a “smooth” change between the individual formats, e. g. when switching to full screen or theater mode.

The standard rates of our server are:

• 1080p: 4.000 kbit/s
• 720p: 2.500 kbit/s
• 360p: 946 kbit/s
• 240p: 446 kbit/s

We recommend the following bit rate: max. 4,000 kbps.
