Recording on the server

The IMS Media Server allows you to record and save the live broadcast of your project on the server. After the recording, you also have the option to trim the videos. See also > cutting videos.

1. Switch to live operation by selecting the live video in your video project window and saving your project with > save & publish.

2. Open the > IMS Media Server > Live Streaming CND and click next to the live channel that you have just switched to live on “start recording”.

3. The live channel is recorded under > IMS Media Server> VOD Streaming CDN in the “Recording” folder. You can follow the “growing” file size of the recording file by refreshing the page with the F5 key.

4. Stop the recording after the end of the live broadcast by going back to the > Live Streaming CDN and clicking “stop recording”. The recording file is saved in the recording folder on the > VOD Streaming CDN.

(!) During the recording, set the keyframe to 1 second (not to 0) so that you can then > cut the recorded videos.
